This study examines the insecurities experienced by IDPs in the Burayu camp in Ethiopia and how they navigate and challenge them. The study was conducted using an intersectionality theoretical lens to explore the forms of insecurities perceived and experienced by IDPs in Ethiopia.

Through interviews with 20 children, 20 parents or guardians, and 13 service providers, it was found that IDP children in Burayu town faced many challenges related to poor socioeconomic conditions.

These challenges exposed them to several insecurities that negatively affected their well-being, including inadequate access to basic needs, healthcare, education, and food. The results of this study suggest that socioeconomic and contextual factors intersect to determine the health and well-being of children in the Ethiopian IDP camp studied.

ይህ ጥናት በኢትዮጵያ በቡራዩ ካምፕ ተፈናቃዮች ያጋጠሟቸውን አለመተማመን እና እንዴት እንደሚመላለሱ እና እንደሚሞግቷቸው ይመረምራል። ጥናቱ የተካሄደው በኢንተርሴክሽናልቲቲ ቲዎሬቲካል መነፅር በመጠቀም በኢትዮጵያ ተፈናቃዮች የሚሰማቸውን እና የሚያጋጥሟቸውን የደህንነት ችግሮች ለመቃኘት ነው።

ከ20 ህጻናት፣ 20 ወላጆች ወይም አሳዳጊዎች እና 13 አገልግሎት ሰጪዎች ጋር በተደረገ ቃለ ምልልስ በቡራዩ ከተማ የተፈናቀሉ ህጻናት ከማህበራዊ ኢኮኖሚያዊ ችግሮች ጋር በተያያዘ ብዙ ፈተናዎች እንደገጠሟቸው ለማወቅ ተችሏል። እነዚህ ተግዳሮቶች ለመሠረታዊ ፍላጎቶች፣ የጤና አጠባበቅ፣ የትምህርት እና የምግብ አቅርቦትን በበቂ ሁኔታ አለማግኘታቸውን ጨምሮ ደህንነታቸው ላይ አሉታዊ ተጽዕኖ ላሳደሩ በርካታ አለመረጋጋት አጋልጧቸዋል።

የዚህ ጥናት ውጤት እንደሚያመለክተው ማህበረ-ኢኮኖሚያዊ እና ዐውደ-ጽሑፋዊ ሁኔታዎች እርስ በእርሳቸው የሚገናኙት በኢትዮጵያ የተፈናቃዮች ካምፕ ውስጥ ያሉ ህፃናትን ጤና እና ደህንነት ለመወሰን ነው።
