Rural Inclusion on the role of insurance in supporting financial literacy

Aviva has issued an update for 2022 regarding general insurance. The University of Nottingham, UNCDF, and Rural Inclusion have collaborated on a project called “Financial Education for Rural Communities in Africa: A Digital Approach”. The project aims to research the effectiveness of manual and digital delivery methods of financial and insurance education to coffee farmers in the Rwenzori region of Uganda. The project contains two stages, with the priority being to build a solid foundation for the largescale analysis implemented at the later stage. Interest in digital education around financial literacy is increasing due to policymakers seeing its importance and digitalisation making services more accessible. The project has the potential to come up with comprehensive solutions to effectively promote financial education in Africa.

አቪቫ አጠቃላይ መድንን በተመለከተ ለ2022 ማሻሻያ አውጥቷል። የኖቲንግሃም ዩንቨርስቲ፣ UNCDF እና Rural Inclusion “የፋይናንስ ትምህርት ለገጠር ማህበረሰቦች በአፍሪካ፡ ዲጂታል አቀራረብ” በተባለ ፕሮጀክት ላይ ተባብረዋል። የፕሮጀክቱ ዓላማ በኡጋንዳ ሬዌንዞሪ ክልል ላሉ የቡና ገበሬዎች የገንዘብ እና የኢንሹራንስ ትምህርት በእጅ እና በዲጂታል አሰጣጥ ዘዴዎች ውጤታማነት ላይ ምርምር ማድረግ ነው። ፕሮጀክቱ ሁለት ደረጃዎችን የያዘ ሲሆን ቅድሚያ የሚሰጠው በኋለኛው ደረጃ ላይ ለተተገበረው መጠነ ሰፊ ትንተና ጠንካራ መሠረት መገንባት ነው። ፖሊሲ አውጪዎች ጠቀሜታውን በማየታቸው እና አገልግሎቶቹን ይበልጥ ተደራሽ በማድረግ ዲጂታላይዜሽን ምክንያት የዲጂታል ትምህርት በፋይናንሺያል እውቀት ላይ ያለው ፍላጎት እየጨመረ ነው። ፕሮጀክቱ በአፍሪካ የፋይናንሺያል ትምህርትን በብቃት ለማስተዋወቅ አጠቃላይ መፍትሄዎችን የማፍለቅ አቅም አለው።
