የእስራኤል ዘረኝነት ተጋለጠ

ትውልደ ኢትዮጵያዊው የእስራኤል ወታደር አበራ መንግስቱ እ.ኤ.አ. ከ2014 ጀምሮ በጋዛ ውስጥ በእስር ላይ እንደሚገኝ ይታመናል።ሀማስ በቅርቡ የመንግስቱን ምስል አውጥቶ እ.ኤ.አ. በ2011 የተደረገው አይነት የእስረኞች ልውውጥ ለማድረግ አቅዷል።ነገር ግን በቀለም እና በዘር ላይ የተመሰረተ ዘረኝነት ጎሳ በእስራኤል ውስጥ ተስፋፍቷል እና መንግስቱ እና አል ሰይድ የበላይ የሆነው የአሽከናዚ ቡድን አባላት አይደሉም ወይም በማህበራዊ ደረጃ ዝቅተኛ መብት ያላቸው ሴፋሪዲክ ወይም ሚዝራሂ አይሁዶች አይደሉም፣ እና ስለዚህ መንግስት እነሱን ለማዳን አይቸኩልም። መካከለኛው ምስራቃዊ ጽሑፉ  በኢትዮጵያውያን እና ፍልስጤማውያን በእስራኤል ላይ እየደረሰ ያለውን ዘረኝነት እና አድሎ የሚዳስስ ሲሆን ኢትዮጵያውያን ፍልስጤማውያን እና አረቦች ጠላት እንዳልሆኑ በመረዳት ለበለጠ መብት መቃወም እንዳለባቸው ይጠቁማል።

Avera Mengistu, an Israeli soldier of Ethiopian origin, is believed to be held in captivity in Gaza since 2014. Hamas recently released footage of Mengistu and is aiming to conduct a prisoner exchange similar to the one in 2011. However, racism based on color and ethnicity is rife in Israel and Mengistu and alal-Sayedre are not members of the dominant Ashkenazi group or even of the socially less privileged Sephardic or Mizrahi Jews, therefore the government is not in a rush to rescue them.
