የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ሦስት የሐሰት ሊቃነ ጳጳሳትን አባረረች

የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ በኦሮሞ ክልል ውስጥ የኦሮሞ ፓትርያርክ ለመፍጠር የሞከሩ ሦስት ሊቃነ ጳጳሳትን ከሥልጣናቸው አስወገደ። ውሳኔው ከጥር 26 ቀን 2023 ጀምሮ የጸና ሲሆን ሊቀ ጳጳሳት ከሥርዓተ ቤተ ክህነት ማዕረግ የተነጠቁ እና ከአሁን በኋላ ምንም አይነት ምሥጢራት ከቤተክርስቲያን አይቀበሉም። ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ በተባረሩት ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት ሥር የነበሩትን የሀገረ ስብከቶች እና አድባራት ሊቀ ጳጳሳትን ይሰይማል። የኢትዮጵያ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ከሌሎች አብያተ ክርስቲያናት የአብሮነት መልእክት ደርሶታል፤ ሊቀ ጳጳሳቱንም ንስሐ ከገቡ ይመለሳሉ። ውሳኔው ለጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር አብይ አህመድ እና ለሌሎች የመንግስት ባለስልጣናት ይላካል።

The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church Holy Synod has excommunicated three Archbishops who attempted to create an ethnic Oromo patriarchate in the Oromo region of Ethiopia. The decision was effective as of January 26, 2023, and the Archbishops have been stripped of all of their ecclesiastical ranks and will no longer receive any sacraments from the church. The Holy Synod will also name Archbishops for the Dioceses and churches that were under the excommunicated Archbishops. The Ethiopian Church has received messages of solidarity from other churches, and they will accept the Archbishops back should they repent. The decision will be sent to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and other levels of government officials.
