የአማራ ክልል ከተለያዩ ማረሚያ ቤቶች ለ4,401 የህግ ታራሚዎች ይቅርታ አደረገ። የምህረት ቦርዱ ውሳኔ ሲሰጥ እድሜ፣ ጤና፣ ባህሪ እና የእስር ጊዜ ብዛት ግምት ውስጥ ያስገባ ነበር። ከሙስና፣ ከአስገድዶ መድፈር፣ ከአፈና እና ከህገወጥ የሰዎች ዝውውር ጋር የተገናኙ ወንጀለኞች ከምህረት አዋጁ ውጪ ሆነዋል። ይቅርታ ከተፈቱት መካከል 93ቱ ሴቶች ሲሆኑ ህብረተሰቡ የባህሪ ለውጥ በማሳየቱ እንዲቀበላቸው የክልሉ ፍትህ መምሪያ የህዝብ ግንኙነት ኃላፊ ወይዘሮ አለምሸት ምሕረት አሳስበዋል።

The Amhara region of Ethiopia has pardoned 4,401 inmates from different prisons across the region. The amnesty board considered age, health, behavior and the number of years in prison when making the decision. Convicts linked to corruption, rape, abduction and human trafficking were excluded from the amnesty. 93 of those pardoned are women, and Alemshet Mihret, public relation head of the region’s justice department, advised the community to accept them as they have shown behavioral change.
