Ajay Banga, an IndianAmerican business executive, has been nominated as a candidate to lead the World Bank by the United States. He has extensive experience leading large institutions, has helped millions of unbanked people enter the digital economy, and is known for his diplomatic skills. He has worked at Nestle India, PepsiCo, Citigroup, Mastercard, and General Atlantic. The World Bank will accept candidate nominations until March 29th and the next president will need to represent not only the US, but many different parts of the institution. Banga’s experience makes him a strong candidate for the position.
