The Ethiopian President and Deputy Prime Minister recently recognized 52 Ethiopian Diaspora organizations from 25 countries for their contributions to the nation’s development and remittances. President SahleWork Zewde praised the diaspora community and urged them to continue supporting peace building and reconstruction efforts. Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen congratulated the diaspora for their efforts to protect the sovereignty and national interests of the country and urged for collaboration to strengthen peace and support the displaced people.

የኢፌዴሪ ፕሬዝዳንት እና ምክትል ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ከ25 ሀገራት ለተውጣጡ 52 የኢትዮጵያ ዳያስፖራ ድርጅቶች ለአገሪቱ ልማት እና የገንዘብ ልውውጥ ላበረከቱት አስተዋፅኦ በቅርቡ እውቅና ሰጥተዋል። ፕሬዝዳንት ሳህለወርቅ ዘውዴ የዲያስፖራውን ማህበረሰብ አድንቀው ለሰላም ግንባታና መልሶ ግንባታ ድጋፋቸውን አጠናክረው እንዲቀጥሉ አሳስበዋል። ምክትል ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ደመቀ መኮንን ዳያስፖራው የሀገሪቱን ሉዓላዊነትና ብሄራዊ ጥቅም ለማስጠበቅ ላደረገው ጥረት የእንኳን ደስ ያላችሁ መልዕክታቸውን አስተላልፈዋል።
