The history of the African continent and how it was once united by the Kushites. King Alara began the first campaign to unite Africa in 878 BCE, and his grandnephew, Kashta, inherited the throne in 795 BCE and annexed most of tropical Africa. Piankhi followed and conquered all the way south to the Zambezi and all the way west to Senegambia. His successor, Shabaka, conquered the Levant all the way to the Mesopotamian and initiated the great Indian Ocean trade era between India, Arabia, and East Africa.
