የአፍሪካ ሃገራት ቻምፒዮና / CHAN AFRICA እየተባለ በሚጠራው የአፍሪካ ሀገራት ውድድር ላይ ተሳታፊ የነበረው የሀገራችን ብሔራዊ ቡድን ከምድቡ ማለፍ ሳይችል ቀርቷል። ብሄራዊ ቡድኑ ከሞዛምቢክ ፣ አልጄሪያ እና ሊቢያ ጋር በአንድ ምድብ ነበር የተደለደለው። ከሞዛምቢክ 0 ለ 0 ሲለያይ በአልጄሪያ 1 ለ 0 ተሸንፎ ነበር።

በምድብ የመጨረሻው ጨዋታ ከሊብያ ጋር የገጠመው ብሔራዊ ቡድናችን 3 ለ 1 በሆነ ውጤት ተሸንፎ ከወዲሁ ከውድድሩ ተሰናብቷል። ቡድኑ በውድድሩ ላይ በአጠቃላይ 4 ጎሎች ሲቆጠሩበት ማስቆጠር የቻለው አንድ ጎል ብቻ ነው። በተመሳሳይ ምድብ ውስጥ የነበሩት አልጄሪያ እና ሞዛምቢክ ከምድቡ ማለፋቸውን አረጋግጠዋል።
