On Sunday, Ethiopia’s Hailemaryam Kiros broke the meet record to win the Osaka Marathon with a time of 2:06:01. Uganda’s Victor Kiplangat came in second and Tanzania’s Alphonce Felix Simbu was third. Ethiopia’s Helen Tola Bekele won the women’s title with a meet record of 2:22:16, and Beyenu Degefa and Japan’s Momoko Watanabe rounded off the top three.
