ትናንት የርብቃ ዛሚት ሉፒ የመጀመሪያ ደረጃ ትምህርት ቤት ለኢትዮጵያ ልጆች ርብቃ ዛሚት ሉፒ እና ሌሎች ሁለት የማልታ ሰዎች መታሰቢያ ተከፍቷል። ፕሮጀክቱ በሲግማ ፋውንዴሽን የተደገፈ ሲሆን ከቀደምት የካሚኖ ጉዞዎች በተሰበሰበ ገንዘብ እና በሪቤካ አባት መሪነት ነበር። ሦስቱን ሰዎች ለማሰብ በመንግስት ባለስልጣናት፣ ቀሳውስት እና ሌሎች ንግግሮች የተሰጡ ሲሆን ት/ቤቱ ርብቃ ለትምህርት ያላትን ፍቅር የሚያሳይ ነው። ምርቃቱ ለተሳተፉት ሁሉ በጣም ስሜታዊ የሆነ ቀን ነበር እና ትምህርት ቤቱ የርብቃን ትውስታ በህይወት ያቆየዋል።

Yesterday the Rebecca Zammit Lupi Primary School for Ethiopian children was inaugurated in memory of Rebecca Zammit Lupi and two other Maltese people. The project was funded by the Sigma Foundation, with funds raised from previous Camino expeditions, and was spearheaded by Rebecca’s father. Speeches were given by government officials, clergymen, and others in remembrance of the three people, with the school being a testament to Rebecca’s passion for access to education. The inauguration was a very emotional day for all involved and the school will keep Rebecca’s memory alive.
